Orgullo piurano en la NASA   TALARA, Piura – Alexandra Castro, estudiante del quinto año de secundaria del colegio 15513 "Emblemática Talara", ha alcanzado una experiencia única: visitar el Centro Espacial Houston, uno de los lugares más emblemáticos de la historia espacial, como parte del programa Ella es Astronauta .   Este programa, patrocinado por la empresa SLB, busca empoderar a niñas a través de la ciencia, tecnología, ingeniería, artes y matemáticas ( STEAM , por sus siglas en inglés), inspirándolas a perseguir carreras en estos campos.   El programa Ella es Astronauta , lanzado en 2019, selecciona a niñas talentosas de América Latina, brindándoles una formación integral en STEAM y la oportunidad de visitar el Centro Espacial Houston. It’s easy to see in a map , but the sensation is other on the field. It’s a great natural landscape system with a view to the enormous Pacific Ocean .   If you get to this place, as much as you get to the edge, you’ll be the one among the other people across south America who gets more into the sea… not needing to get into the water, not needing to get out the continent, or going to an island, aboarding a ship either.   The point was named Balconés in Spanish because the promontory seems to be a set of shelves or balconies viewing to the sea. Es fácil de verlo en un mapa ; pero en tierra la sensación es otra: es un gran sistema paisajístico natural con vista al enorme Océano Pacífico .   Si llegas a este lugar, cuanto más al filo te pongas, serás la persona entre todas las personas en toda Sudamérica que más metida esté en el mar… sin necesidad de meterte en el agua, y sin necesidad de salir del continente o ir a una isla, o abordar un barco.   A la punta le pusieron Balcones porque el promontorio semeja un conjunto de repisas o balcones mirando al mar.
