Dijeron que 2012 sería un año seco… dijeron.   Por Nelson Peñaherrera Castillo   CIUDAD DE PIURA –Puente Sánchez Cerro, 24 de febrero de 2012, siete de la mañana: 1400 metros cúbicos por  segundo. El agua tiene el color de la violencia de lo improvisado, antes que de lo imprevisto. La crecida del río Piura fue la atracción de la temporada luego de meses y meses de haber lucido un caudal de la categoría de un arroyo.   El revestimiento de concreto del Malecón Eguiguren evita que la fuerza de la corriente erosione las riberas de las ciudades de Piura y Castilla, como sucedió en 1983. La obra fue hecha luego que a 60 km al oeste, la Corriente de El Niño provocara lluvias extremas entre enero y junio de ese año.   El río volvió a poner en alerta a la población en 1998, 2001 y 2005. justo en 1998, la fuerza del agua destruyó el Puente Bolognesi, el cuarto de norte a sur, llevándose la vida de medio centenar de personas. “Nunca voy a olvidar esa cifra: 4414 metros c...
