A portion of Colombian Southern and a piece of Brasilian Western also felt the shake. Los sismos tienen una especie de punto débil, y la ciencia aprendió cómo sacarle ventaja.   Por Nelson Peñaherrera Castillo   SANTA MARÍA DE NIEVA, amazonas – El 28 de noviembre de 2021 a las 5:52 hora peruana (1052 GMT), un sismo de magnitud 7,5 sacudió el distrito de Barranca, provincia de Datem del Marañón , Loreto, y se sintió mayormente en el tercio norte del Perú y en 19 de las 24 provincias del Ecuador. Una porción del sur colombiano y otro pedazo del oeste de Brasil también sintieron el movimiento. Un niño de tres años falleció, hubo decenas de heridos, más de un millar de damnificados y otro tanto de construcciones dañadas o inhabitables.   El Instituto Geofísico del Perú (IGP), la entidad oficial que vigila y reporta la ocurrencia de sismos, lanzó una notificación por redes sociales ocho minutos después que mucha gente saltara de sus camass en toda la porción más occidental de Sudamérica.
