PIURA, Peru – The electricity distribution company ElectroNorOeste , SA implemented printed QR (quick response) codes in the consumption bills since this week for the payment to be easier, safer, and faster to its user,it reported. When the user scans the QR code with the smartphone, it opens the e-wallet application he or she uses. So, he or she could pay the service not needing to go to a box office or a bank. The code is available since June billing, it appears in the lower part of the bill [see the attached picture]. A company’s spokesperson  said the implementation was developed because the users asked for it – it adds to the other payment ways like e-banks, box office payment, and cash & consignment agents, as well as its website .  There’s no extra charge in all cases, but we suggest to check out the service terms of every collection entity before choosing the right one. LANCONÉS, Peru – The electric service has carried progress to the rural population, it allowed to generate development by activating little and medium businesses. But it also stops the whole growth when there are blackouts. That’s caused because the actual transmission line can not generate the enough power to satisfy the demand of this people.   That’s why ElectroNorOeste S.A. (Enosa) is setting up a new 60-kilovolt line –60,000 volts—that will benefit mostly to the rural population of Lanconés Dry Forest, the Valleys of Chipillico and Quiroz. In both cases, their competitiveness is very vulnerable. However, a bunch of seven just graduated engineers from Sullana and Piura could have a technological solution that, at least, solves the field parameters uncertainty issue, specifically the irrigation, by installing sensors connected under web architecture throughout the acres, promising greater productiveness and quality, and optimizing costs.
