Millenarian art of Malingas goes out in parade

TAMBOGRANDÉ, Peru – The petroglyphs of Malingas were used as inspiration to make up an allegorical chariot as part of the carnival parade performed in this city on February 11 th , 2023. The chariot presented by Malingas Village Municipality got in brief the touristic potentials of the community – the landscape and the archaeological rests . In the first case, San Francisco Creek was stylized as that is a Piura River tributary, that serves like the northern border for the community. In the second one, one of the traces existent in Malingas was framed, that according to the preliminary investigation by the archeologist Daniel Dávila, made between 2009 and 2011, they might be 4000 years old, made by migrants getting from Amazon Basin, having such as relation with the existence of water.
