How we return the Tallans (and the other related)

Imagen
By Nelson Peñaherrera Castillo   SULLANA, Peru – W hat happened in actual Piura Department before 1532 AD is a big unknown. What we know is explained in key of legend. The rest has consisted in a long forensic work: tracking, digging, extracting, comparing, assuming the gotten is just a piece of a huge puzzle which blanks continue to be as remarkable as the parts seeming to shape.   It’s the case of Tallans , as we know, people who evolved in parallel to Incas, which deadline seems to have ended when the Spanish conqueror Francisco Pizarro entered actual Chira Valley in 1532 through actual Lanconés District , after starting his march from actual Tumbés Department . We know that because there are written records from that point up after – the problem is from that point down before.   Skillful farmers and fishers There is some consensus in historians and archaeologists the Tallans were not one only people but a kind of association of peopl...

It doesn’t only rain, the soil also shakes – what physical place gathers that information for taking better decisions?     By Nelson Peñaherrera Castillo   SULLANA, Peru – The quake of October 5 th , 2022 in Miguel Checa District must face us a reality we maybe have dismissed or ignored: Piura is a seismic zone. It’s the second time in 15 months that a same hypocenter actives violently, the same magnitude (6.1), the same intensity (VI). Since 2022-mid, Peru’s Geophysical Institute(IGP, as its initials in Spanish)   is already on the field, between the towns of Sojo (Miguel Checa District) and Mallarés ( Marcavelica District ), investigating how it’s,how this piece of Earth crust behaves. The information will be useful for planning the urban growth, like Sullana Metropolitan Area, that trends to expand toward the west. Upon IGP historic facts, there are other hypocenters those regularly feature seismic activity: Talara: In a course starting s...
